(IT) KINTSUGI — Tu in me, io in te

Tu in me, io in te.

(EN) KINTSUGI — You in Me, I in You

Two figures, a man and a woman, meet through their wounds.

Their surfaces are marked by fractures that tell the story of what life has broken, leaving traces that cannot be erased. Yet in their encounter, something changes: each gives a part of themselves to restore what is missing in the other. One person’s fragments become the material with which the other is rebuilt, until it becomes impossible to completely distinguish what belongs to one from what belongs to the other.

Blue and red represent their individual identities, while the fragments of the opposing colour bear witness to their mutual exchange: to repair you, I give you a part of myself. Through the act of repairing, they both transform.

The golden cracks, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, do not conceal the fracture but make it visible and precious. The wound thus becomes the point through which the other enters our life and contributes to making us whole again.

You in Me, I in You.

We are no longer simply who we were before our wounds, but also who we have received, given, and built together.
